The side drawers are deep, a good size to pack any bed necessities you need. On a budget I made the right decision. I also purchased the Bob-O-Pedic Cool Gel mattress, best best decision I ever made. The mattress is comfortable, the smell faded quickly the first day. Within 5 hours it expanded to its normal height, no complaints at all. My husband and I sleep well on it, he stayed in bed all day one Saturday complimenting me about the mattress. Happy Husband ????. I gave the review 4 stars only because I originally started out to purchase the queen 90 bucks for delivery and assembly, cool!.
